The program, in brief. . .

The Northwest Academic Computing Consortium is pleased to announce a 2-day conference: "Online Content: Policy, Strategy and Support," to be held June 5-6, 2003, at the Embassy Suites Hotel at Portland (OR) International Airport. The meeting will address topics such as Network Security & Privacy, Course & Content Management, The Open Knowledge Initiative, Copyright laws in Hyperspace, Bandwidth Management, Winning the War Against Spam, and Strategies for Online Content.

Featured speakers include: Dan Updegrove, Vice President for Information Technology at The University of Texas at Austin; David Lassner, Chief Information Officer at the University of Hawaii;Vijay Kumar, Asst. Provost & Director of Academic Computing at M.I.T.; Georgia Harper, Manager, Intellectual Property Section, The University of Texas System; and Gregory R. Nyhus, Assistant U.S. Attorney and Computer and Telecommunications Crimes Coordinator for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Oregon.
