Conference Highlights

The Northwest Academic Computing Consortium is pleased to announce a conference on Digital Expectations: New Tools, New Rules, to be held June 17-18, at the RiverPlace Hotel in Portland, Oregon. The meeting will address topics such as: technologies to meet the expectations of 21st-century students, copyright issues and P2P, digital asset management, E-portfolios, the future of opensource, and doing business digitally in the university environment.

Featured speakers include: Diana Oblinger, Vice President, EDUCAUSE; Bruce Block, Chief Technology Officer, RIAA; Scott Siddall, Director of Instructional Technology, Denison University; Tom Lewis, Director of Ed-Tech Development, Educational Partnerships and Learning Technologies, University of Washington; Barry Robinson, Chief Counsel, RIAA; Mitchell Baker, President, Mozilla Foundation; Tracy Futhey, CIO, Duke University; and Richard Katz, Vice President, EDUCAUSE.
